In order to be a member of the Black Graduate Student Organization (BGSO), one must be:

• Currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University

• A graduate-level (Master's or Ph.D.) student

Members of BGSO are eligible for:

• Monthly $50 Visa give-away baskets

• General Body Meeting (GBM) $15 food vouchers

  • • Given to the first five (5) members to show up at each GBM

• "Member of the Semester" Gift

  • • The most active member receives a gift basket at the end of the semester

• Discounted Merchandise:

  • • $5 discount on graduation stoles ($20 without membership)

    • $5 discount on BGSO T - shirts ($20 without membership)

    • Free BGSO sticker pack ($5 without membership)
